Amber Bosteels dancing

About me

Hi! I’m Amber, a movement artist from Belgium, based in Ghent. My love for performing began as a child when I discovered Indian dance. At 18, I left for Leeds to train for three years at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

I work mostly in contemporary dance and Kathak, in Belgium and abroad: performing, creating my own work and teaching. I’m also co-founder of DEVLOER, a platform in Ghent for workshops, jams and shared moments of movement.

What matters most to me is making dance something anyone can feel part of: in the streets, in unexpected places, bringing people together. For me, everything comes back to the body. It knows how to speak without words.
